How do I use the Clear Image aligner viewer?
The answer
The viewer lets you see the aligner case setup. You can look at the plan, step through the aligner stages and check the IPR and attachment information. To actually move teeth you need Smile Studio, which is a separate download.
View options
Across the top you can switch between Left, Upper Occlusal, Front, Lower Occlusal and Right views.
Right toolbar
- Launch Smile Studio: opens the software for making tooth movements yourself. Download required.
- Case Information: the IPR and attachment information, alongside the digital display.
- Transparency: make either model more or less transparent.
- Images: your Rx and any additional files you submitted.
- Gum: turn the pink gum tissue off or on.
- Tooth Collision: turn the IPR information off on the digital display.
- Table of Movements: the total amount of movement on each tooth.
- Views: see all view options at once.
Stepping through the plan
Press Play to watch the tooth movement progression. Click an individual aligner number to jump to that stage. Next and Back let you move through at your own pace.
Patient details
The patient name and case ID are shown in the top left.
