Crowned Expander

The crowned expander is the Dischinger design, with crowns on the first molars that anchor the appliance and open the bite slightly to help expansion.

Expansion

Crowned Expander

The standard activation screw is the 12 mm Mini-Palex. If the first molars haven't erupted, the crowns go on the second deciduous molars. Choose it when you want crown anchorage and a little bite opening in the same appliance.
