E-Arch

The E-Arch appliance is Dr. Angle's original arch development design, with a pin and tube in the anterior and an open coil spring that activates it.

Expansion

E-Arch

It's one of the oldest arch development designs still in use. Activation starts as soon as the appliance is seated, because the coil spring is already working on the pin and tube. Prescribe it when you want continuous anterior arch development with nothing for the patient to turn.

Still deciding which expander?

Suture maturity, tooth-borne or tissue-borne, banded or bonded, and whether the patient's parents can manage screw turns. Those narrow the choice quickly.
