Pendex
The Pendex appliance is a Pendulum with an expansion screw, so you get transverse expansion and molar distalization from one upper appliance. Made to your Rx and shipped in 10 business days or faster.
Distalization
Pendex
A palatal Nance button anchors on occlusal rests at the first and second premolars, and TMA springs we preactivate in the lab seat into the first molar bands. The springs distalize the molars while the screw widens the arch. If the second molars are fully erupted, distalize them first for the most efficient molar movement.

When it’s the right call.
Use it when
Upper molar distalization with a narrow maxillary arch
Class II molar relationship you'd correct without headgear
Patients you can't rely on for elastics or headgear
Space needed in the upper arch for blocked-out canines
Consider another appliance when
The arch is wide enough and you only need distalization

Questions about the Pendex.
What is Pendex?
A fixed upper distalizer: a Pendulum with an expansion screw, so it expands the arch transversely while the molars distalize.
Pendex vs Pendulum: what's the difference?
The expansion screw. The Pendulum distalizes the molars, and the Pendex adds transverse expansion at the same time.
T-Rex vs Pendex: which should I prescribe?
The T-Rex is a Pendex modification with .032 stainless steel wires soldered to the first molar bands, for more molar expansion.
What if the second molars have already erupted?
Distalize fully erupted second molars first. It makes the molar distalization more efficient.
