JI Williams

The JI Williams expander is a fixed lower appliance that pairs an 8 mm expansion screw with a .016 NiTi wire to keep the lower anteriors rounded.

Expansion

JI Williams

Tubing runs on the lingual of the lower posterior teeth, and the round NiTi wire inside it keeps the anteriors rounded and inclined. The screw is soldered to the tubing at the first bicuspid area, with rests to the second bicuspids or second deciduous molars. Use it for lower width and arch form together.

FAQ

Questions about the JI Williams.

The .016 round NiTi wire sits in the lingual tubing and keeps the lower anterior teeth rounded and inclined during expansion.

An 8 mm expansion screw is soldered to the tubing at the first bicuspid area.

Yes. The rests can go to the second deciduous molars instead of the second bicuspids.

Both develop the lower arch. The JI Williams adds the NiTi wire for anterior arch form, and the Lower Fixed uses a 12 mm reduced-body screw.
