We had one of our patients come in SUPER nervous to get an expander. He is 9 and didn't understand this crazy thing we were putting in his mouth and he was afraid it would hurt. When we placed it, it went in so effortlessly that he wasn't scared anymore and actually liked his expander!

For the past 3 years, UT School of Dentistry at Houston has utilized Specialty Appliances Boot Camp as a lab introduction for our incoming residents. The early introduction into soldering and appliance fabrication has been invaluable as our residents start their initial cases. We will continue to welcome Specialty annually since the course serves to solidify concepts with hands-on learning.
