MARPE and Surgical Wires.
Temporary anchorage devices (TADs) add anchorage and control, for quicker tooth movement. Surgical wires retain the dentition after oral surgery.
Skeletal anchorage and surgical wires.
This category covers appliances built on skeletal anchorage, plus surgical wires. Custom MARPE, the MSE Expander and the Dentaurum Expander expand the maxilla on palatal miniscrews, and the T-Bar takes anterior anchorage from TADs. SurgiArch™ is a 3D printed arch bar bonded to each tooth, for surgical cases.
- TADs placed through the appliance or around existing ones
- Skeletal expanders for the upper or lower arch
- 3D printed surgical arch bars in cobalt chromium
What do MARPE and surgical wires solve?
Miniscrew-assisted expanders treat transverse maxillary deficiency after the midpalatal suture has matured, where tooth-borne expansion would tip the molars. The T-Bar holds the anterior teeth against skeletal anchorage for retraction or intrusion mechanics, and surgical wires hold the planned occlusion while the patient heals.
- Transverse deficiency after suture maturation
- Anterior anchorage for retraction or intrusion
- Holding the planned occlusion after oral surgery
