Sagittal Appliances
The sagittal appliance is a removable acrylic plate for either arch that distalizes the posterior segments against the anterior teeth. Made to your Rx and shipped in 10 business days or faster.
Distalization
Sagittal Appliances
Sagittal screws push the molars and bicuspids back while the anterior teeth hold anchorage. Adams and ball clasps give maximum retention, and occlusal acrylic adds more. We've made sagittals since the early 1980s, in every design, including the 3-way expander with one screw.

Questions about the Sagittal Appliances.
When do you use a sagittal appliance for distalization?
The sagittal screws move the molars and bicuspids back, using the anterior teeth as anchorage.
Do you make a 3 way sagittal appliance?
Yes. We make every sagittal design, including the 3-way expander with one screw.
Can the sagittal expander be made for the lower arch?
Yes. We make it for either arch, and the lower uses two pairs of ball clasps.
Is occlusal acrylic required on a sagittal plate?
It's standard, because it adds retention. You can order it without.
