How do I add or adjust attachments in Smile Studio?
The answer
Attachments are added and positioned in Smile Studio, in Edit mode.
Adding an attachment
Move the sequence to pre-treatment, or Zero. Hover over the tooth and right click to select it. The tooth turns green. Left click the attachment shape you want from the library, then go back to the tooth and right click to drop it where you want it.
Adjusting an attachment
- Right click the attachment to select it. It turns green and the manipulation tool appears around it.
- Right click and hold to drag it around the tooth surface. Release to set the new position.
- Right click, hold and drag the blue wheel to rotate it.
- Right click, hold and drag the arrows to change its size in that direction.
Attachment options
- Delete the attachment.
- Sink the attachment into the tooth surface.
- Raise the attachment from the tooth surface.
Setting when an attachment appears
Click Set Attachments On, then enter the stage you want the attachment to appear at.
Before you leave
Click Save in the left toolbar once you’ve finished.
